Dr. Wendy Holder is a former emergency room nurse that decided to become a dentist. Dr. Holder graduated from the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry, and then did an advanced education in general dentistry for her residency program to become proficient in placing dental implants. Dr. Holder says she started getting her dental experience really young as a patient. “I was one of those kids that had baby bottle rot and had about 10 of my front teeth capped. I had to take kindergarten pictures with a grill...and that was long before grills were popular. I had many dental appointments overseas with military dentist that didn't have a lot of patience for little girls. I grew up with a feeling that I could do better than what I received. I know how transforming a smile can be and I want to share that with all my patients. I truly enjoy giving people back their smile and improving their quality of life. I have a soft spot for children and their dental needs. I volunteer at the Good Shepherd Ministries children dental clinic,” says Dr. Holder. She is originally from Bakersfield, CA and her husband is from Sacramento, CA. Ironically they met in Oklahoma playing softball. They still play softball weekly and now take their two children with them. They are and outdoors family and love to play sports. When not playing with her family, you can also find Wendy running and participating in local races. Dr. Holder is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Oklahoma Association of Women Dentistry. |
