I decided to become a dentist after speaking to my family dentist. She was extremely encouraging, and I was fascinated with everything she told me. I saw how I could be creative, help people obtain a smile they could be proud of and challenge myself everyday.
My dental degree was obtained from the University of Kansas City Missouri- School of Dentistry. After that, I was accepted and graduated from a General Practice Residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. Here, I learned how to handle advanced cases, help people with complex health issues and use sedation for better patient comfort.
My focus is on the whole person and how to develop a stable oral environment to make eating enjoyable and comfortable for the person I'm helping. It may involve nutritional counseling, oral rehabilitation, or simply better techniques to prevent problems in the future. Continual training and education allows me to use the best proven techniques. My favorite example of this is Invisalign; a series of removable, clear aligners to promote an invisible way of straightening teeth without using traditional braces.
We understand that few people really enjoy going to the dentist so we continually strive to make the experience as pain-free as possible. I understand that the past is just that and we need to work together to make your future dental health as bright as possible. I love what I do because "I have the best patients!" There is nothing like making someone smile.
